You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one….
Myanmar had been on my bucket list for years and years and along the way funny things kept happening. The first time I was booked to go I was offered an amazing job offer to good to say no to, the second time I was booked to go was boxing day last year. My friend got given a motorbike for christmas, fell of subsequently breaking his leg meaning we had to postpone.. Now not only did this happen but the internal flight we were booked on crashed. A very odd experience I was torn between thinking someone out there was looking out for me and thinking I was in a scene from ‘Final destination’ watching for live electricity wires.
But no matter where I went or what I did it was always there in the back of my mind. Over Easter I had a small window and in the absolute heat of the moment booked a trip convincing my poor unsuspecting flatmate to accompany me. The rest is history….
Sometimes things are just meant to be in a way that may take a lifetime to understand but that trip at that moment is something that moved and shaped me in a way that I am only just beginning to understand. Myanmar really is a place like no other I have been. Let me stop rambling and give you the good stuff.
